File previews

Read the file without opening another app.

RFile's Inspector includes collapsible full metadata, source line numbers and find, HTML/PDF zoom, local HTML CSS support, CSV tables, JSON trees and image tools. Format and resource limits apply; HTML scripts are blocked.

  • Preview supported source code with syntax highlighting and line counts.
  • Zoom, rotate, flip and crop images to a new copy; use offline OCR on eligible images.
  • Use supported media subtitles, A–B loops and frame capture while keeping hold-to-play-at-2×; codec-specific limits apply.
  • Preview meshes and bounded STEP/DXF geometry. Optional OpenSCAD 3D Preview adds self-contained UTF-8 .scad models up to 1 MiB with an explicit 3.4 MB download; Source works without it. Imported files, external libraries and fonts are not supported.
  • Calculate folder size, file count, and folder count on demand.
