The Shared folders page defines which local roots another trusted device may browse. Each share can be enabled or disabled and assigned a device-specific access level.
Create a share
Choose a folder
Use the folder picker, drag a local folder onto the share area, or enter a valid local path.
Enable the share
Confirm that the intended root is listed as active.
Assign each device
Choose no access, read-only, or read/write for every trusted device shown on the share.
Google Drive’s connection entry, Nearby & background settings, and VLC plugin controls. Edited app-state walkthrough recorded in RFile 0.3.67; it does not show a completed pairing, signed-in account, shared-folder browsing, plugin removal, or live transfer.
Access boundaries
Browse permission on a trusted device does not expose arbitrary local paths. The requested path must remain inside an active approved root and pass the desktop's path and permission checks.
Read/write access permits only the remote operations that the current implementation supports and authorizes. Disable a share or remove the device permission when it is no longer needed.
